He previously served as CSO at Cellarity and at Prometheus Biosciences (acquired by Merck), where he advanced multiple innovative therapies from concept to clinic in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. \n\nLaurens has had a lifelong passion for interactive art, initially inspired by his childhood visits to the Stedelijk to see Ed Keinholz\u2019s The Beanery (1965) &#8211; an immersive recreation of Barney\u2019s Beanery, the infamous Los Angeles bar where artists in Keinholz\u2019s circle
