Where We Stand: The\nIntersection of Public Art and Gentrification was a series of panel discussions that took place in Brownsville, Brooklyn and in the Bronx. These discussions addressed the complex relationship of art and gentrification in low-income neighborhoods, and probed the idea of whether artists and arts organizations could be a positive force for local residents and communities. This program was funded in part by a grant from the New York Council on the Humanities.
