A neighbor of Mitchel Houses, Mohr is a witness to the gentrification and heat island effect impacting the community. His artwork intertwines photographic imagery of residents\u2019 hands with painted representations of an African Acacia tree. Seed pods and a double helix strand symbolize the potential for the community to thrive.<\/p><p>A first generation Grenadian, US citizen, Mohr is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and non-profit leader. His work involves the creation of \u201csacred spaces\u201d referencing his heritage, and expressing commentary on the cultural zeitgeist through immersive sanctuary experiences. Achievements include a BRIO award, and exhibitions at Lewis Latimer House Museum, and Old Stone House.
